Miller Brewing Co. Sells Out the US!

I feel like I've been kicked in the stomach. I've been a customer of the Miller Brewing Company for a very long time. The first beer I ever tasted as a small kid was a Miller and my family has taken countless guests on the the tour of the Miller Brewing Company in Milwaukee, WI. Miller Beer, I thought, was a good American brand. Not anymore. On this Friday, at the beginning of the Labor Day weekend, I have learned that Miller Brewing Company has supported a march for the right of illegal immigrants. Good thing I haven't been out to buy beer for the holiday weekend yet, because I most certainly will not be buying any beer marketed by the Miller Brewing Company ever again.

According to the Chicago Tribune*, back in my home state of Illinois, Miller is supporting a march for illegal immigrant rights from Chinatown to House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office this weekend and has paid upwards of $30,000 for "a planning convention, materials and newspaper ads publicizing the event." Apparently, the company came under fire from certain folks for contributing to a Wisconsin House Representative who sponsored anti-illegal immigrant legislation. Heaven forbid someone sponsor legislation to crack down on criminals in this country! So in turn, Miller Brewing Company gives financial support to a march that supports the supposed "rights" of people who are in this country illegally. They gave their sponsorship to the criminals who are invading this country and doing their part to ruin our economy and way of life.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, my parents both legally immigrated to this country in the 1960's and most of the rest of their families followed through the years - legally. I still have members of my family who have resident visas. I am most certainly NOT anti-immigrant. I am anti-ILLEGAL immigrant. Immigrants built this country and are a big part of what makes this country great. Legal immigration is a very good thing. The process may be long and tedious, but if someone wants to have the rights and privileges that U.S. citizenship confers, they should respect our laws and go through the process legally. The members of my family have done this and it wasn't so hard for them. Why is it so hard for these other people to respect our laws and our country's sovereign borders? And why should we confer special rights to people who in all reality are enemies of the state? It's ridiculous. There are proper immigration procedures that were put in place by the U.S. government to protect its citizens and legal residents from the effects of totally open borders.

The idea that an American corporation like Miller Brewing Company is supporting a march such as this one flies in the face of propriety and justice. Aren't they just aiding and abetting known criminals? Whatever happened to corporate responsibility?

As a result, I am no longer purchasing any products marketed by the Miller Brewing Company, and I urge anyone else that finds this support of Illegals appalling to do the same. This does hurt me, as Miller Lite was a favorite of mine. The company may as well have staged the burning of the American flag that flies near their headquarters. The company that I once thought was a good American brand is selling out the United States of America for a fast Peso. Adios Miller Beer!

*(If you take the time to read the article on the Tribune, notice how they confuse "Immigrants" with "Illegal Immigrants" as if there is no difference. That practice as well as the practice used by the media and politicians of calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Immigrants" turns my stomach.)
